Those Who Set the Bylaws

There are 4 Towns and Townships around the Muskoka Lakes and they all have separate bylaws that govern what can be built on any particular property.  

The Township of Muskoka Lakes is the largest and the majority of cottage properties are in this township.  

Seguin Township governs the northernmost portions of Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau while the towns of Gravenhurst and Bracebridge have portions of Lake Muskoka within their town boundaries.  

Encompassed within the District of Muskoka they are all subject to the District Bylaws.
